Dental Bonding

Bonding Treatment Local Family Dentist in Salem Oregon

At Hunsaker Dental, we offer our patients a range of options to address their dental concerns. We understand the challenges of dealing with a smile that doesn’t meet your standards, which is why we provide dental bonding as one of our cosmetic dental solutions.

With dental bonding, you can achieve the same results as porcelain veneers, but at a much lower cost. Dental bonding provides a permanent solution to chipped and cracked teeth that are affecting your smile.

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding offers us a way to repair damaged teeth permanently. We use a composite compound made of glass, plastic, and a special resin that bonds everything together. We mix this compound in our office to match the color of your teeth exactly.

The mixed compound has putty-like properties that allow us to mold and shape it into whatever form we need to reconstruct your teeth.

What Can it Fix?

Dental bonding can address a variety of dental issues, from restoring cracked or chipped teeth to re-attaching loose tooth fragments.

We can also use the bonding agent to reshape your teeth, fixing problems like crookedness, misshapen, or awkwardly spaced teeth. Dental bonding provides a fast and permanent solution to cosmetic dental problems.

What are The Benefits?

Compared to porcelain veneers, dental bonding is a more cost-effective and less time-consuming option. Veneers require significant modification to your teeth, which dental bonding does not. Dental bonding is a versatile solution for both quick fixes and comprehensive cosmetic reworks.

The Dental Bonding Procedure

The dental bonding process is relatively quick and efficient. First, we will thoroughly clean the tooth and add some texture to the surface by etching it with a tool. Then, we will apply the dental bond and shape it into a natural-looking form. Finally, we will use a special UV light to set the bond and make it permanent.

Once the dental bond is in place, we will provide you with care instructions. Dental bonds are permanent, but you should avoid chewing on hard items like ice, as this could cause them to become damaged.

Composite Compound for Fillings

The same composite resin used for dental bonds is also used to create tooth-colored fillings. These fillings offer a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to the traditional silver-colored amalgam fillings. For more information visit our Facebook!
