About Dr. Travis Hunsaker and his surgery team:
Dr. Travis Hunsaker has been practicing dentistry for 14 years and his personal growth driven mindset has led him to train beyond the majority of dentists. He has been awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is the highest honor a general dentist can achieve, only 2% of dentists achieve MAGD. In September 2022 he was awarded Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (FAAID), and most notably in July 2021 he received Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (DABOI/ID), designating him an implant specialist. Dr. Hunsaker is dedicated to getting to know each of his patients as he believes that is the best way to ensure patients get the highest level of care they deserve.
Michelle (surgical lead) Started her dental career in 2010 as an intern at Hunsaker Dental. Once a position became available, she jumped on the opportunity and has been with Hunsaker Dental ever since. From entry level dental assistant, Michelle has elevated to the lead surgical assistant and gained certification in dental anesthesia with IV placement. She has assisted Dr. Hunsaker on countless surgeries and her extensive knowledge and calming personality help patients feel more relaxed before, during, and after their dental procedures.
Leanna (surgical assistant) started her dental career in 2015 as a sterile technician, advanced to dental assistant, and most recently advanced to surgical assistant. She loves that people can get healthier and happier through dentistry, and making sure patients receive the best care possible.
Jocelyn (executive assistant) has been with Hunsaker Dental since 2020 and handles everything from day-to-day tasks to assisting in surgical procedures. During these procedures she operates external technology that may be needed. She loves the hands-on aspect of the dental field and enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation, and loves being with patients when they see their new smile.
Laurie (administrative director) began her dental career as the marketer for Hunsaker Dental over 10 years ago. She was the Monmouth office manager for over five years, and has now transitioned to Director of Administration. Laurie has long trained in many aspects of implant surgery and loves that we are on the leading edge of dentistry, both with equipment and techniques. She enjoys monitoring the surgeries and capturing the process to assist Dr Hunsaker as he teaches other Doctors about implants.
