Travis J Hunsaker D.D.S.
Dr. Travis Hunsaker has wanted to be a dentist since he watched his father attend dental school. In May 2009 he graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He was a highly praised student in the clinic and excelled in the areas of periodontology, prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. Being fluent in Spanish, he was frequently called upon to provide dental care for Spanish speaking patients. He won first place in the annual research fair for his studies in the effects of bisphosphonates on oral health. Subsequently, he was invited to present his research to the Milwaukee Dental Forum, a local continuing education society. He is a member of the Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, American Dental Association and the Marion Polk Dental Society.
Dr. Travis Hunsaker grew up in Salem and attended Sprague High School. He served a two year mission for his church where he became fluent in Spanish. At Oregon State University he was a member of the men's rowing team and received his bachelor's of science degree. He has held many jobs including security, landscape maintenance, general construction and concrete work.
At Oregon State University he met Laurie, his now wife of seven years with whom he has three young boys: 7 year old Avery, 4 year old Carson and 3 year old Emmett. He and his family love outdoor activities including scuba diving, fishing, crabbing, hunting, and going to the sand dunes.
