Benjamin L. Hunsaker D.M.D.
Dr. Benjamin Hunsaker decided to continue his education after gaining experience in several other occupations. He completed his undergraduate work at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. He then attended Oregon Health Sciences University Dental School, graduating from the program in 1990. He received several awards including OHSU's Award of Clinical Excellence, the American College of Prosthodontology's Undergraduate Achievement Award, and the American Academy of Periodontology's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Periodontics. He is a member of the Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, American Dental Association, Marion Polk Yamhill Dental Society, and a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has been practicing in Salem since his graduation in 1990.
He greatly enjoys spending time with his wife DeAnna and his four children. Travis graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in May of 2009 and is joining Hunsaker Dental this summer. Travis and his wife Laurie were married in 2002 and now have three energetic little boys. Kevin and his wife Katrina were also married in 2002 and share their home with two energetic Labradors. Katrina is an elementary school teacher in Stayton and Kevin works here in Salem as an ASE certified auto mechanic. Angela and her husband Shane also live in the area and have a little girl. Angela works at Hunsaker Dental a dental assistant and Shane is a truck driver in the Salem area. Megan is the youngest of the bunch. She is currently working on her undergraduate at Oregon State University. After graduation she hopes to attend a veterinary school in Oregon. She spends most of her time with her two horses. Besides his family, Doctor Benjamin Hunsaker keeps busy at several different projects at home, volunteering his time with the Boy Scouts of America, and is involved in his church. He loves the outdoors and enjoys many of the activities that Oregon and the Willamette Valley have to offer.
